Childbuilders' Wine Tasting and Celebration of Our school Champions and Donors was a rousing success.
ChildBuilders’ board of directors, friends, supporters, and school champions gathered on the evening of January 25 at the Texas Wine School to celebrate our recent successes. Dana Babineaux, veteran school counselor from Pasadena ISD and long-time presenter of Stand Strong * Stay Safe was honored alongside Mr. Bob Zinn of Zinn Petroleum and the Zinn Foundation. Angela Hsu, counselor from Fort Bend ISD, was also recognized and in attendance.
Friends and supporters from our sponsoring companies, including First Community Credit Union, Williams Companies, and The Texas Wine School, learned about ChildBuilders’ programs and discussed innovative ways to solve childhood victimization. They walked away from the event with a better understanding of their role in supporting mental health throughout their circles of influence and knowledge of how ChildBuilders’ can help. We are grateful to H-E-B/Central Market for donating food and flowers.
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and supported the event. We are delighted to report that we surpassed our fundraising goal and raised over $7,000, which will go straight to providing safety and resilience-building programs in Houston-area schools and organizations.
It’s not too late to jump on the bandwagon – ChildBuilders’ spring event has already been announced – Join us on April 27 for our Annual Crawfish Boil at Ragin’ Cajun!
