ChildBuilders Celebrates Reaching One Million Children and 34,000 Adults Since 1974
Houston, Texas – ChildBuilders, a Houston-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health and preventing abuse, proudly announces a historic milestone: since its founding in 1974, the organization has served more than one million children and 34,000 parents, caregivers, and educators across Greater Houston and beyond.
For more than five decades, ChildBuilders has worked to create communities where every child can grow into a resilient adult, capable of coping with adversity, building strong families, and nurturing future generations. Through its research-informed programs—such as Stand Strong • Stay Safe, Parents Under Construction, and Build to Nurture—the organization equips children, parents, caregivers, and educators with the tools to foster healthy relationships, empathy, and emotional well-being.
“This milestone is a reflection of the dedication of our staff, presenters, and community partners who share our vision of a community where all children are respected, nurtured, and protected,” said Amanda Siroosian, Executive Director of ChildBuilders. “Every child we reach represents a stronger family and a healthier community.”
ChildBuilders’ sustainable model ensures long-lasting impact by training parents, caregivers, educators, and community members to continue supporting children’s growth and development. The organization remains committed to expanding access to its life-changing programs in response to the growing need for mental health support and violence prevention in Texas and across the nation.
