Key Accomplishments
Outreach at a Glance
This year, ChildBuilders reached 63,023 individuals, a 29% increase over the previous year, making this the strongest year of outreach in our organization’s recent history. We delivered 43 trainings and outreach sessions, equipping 737 educators and community partners with the tools to protect children and strengthen families throughout Greater Houston. We served 266 parents through customized workshops, flexible scheduling, and a new short-format parent gathering series. We also published 18 new podcast episodes featuring local experts on mental health and child wellbeing, reaching 378 individuals.
Partnerships
Our reach was made possible through collaborations with more than 20 partner organizations, including 11 independent school districts. This year, we deepened our long-standing relationships with every returning district partner while building new, meaningful partnerships with Galveston ISD and Alief ISD. The administrators, counselors, and teachers who champion our mission within their school communities are the reason ChildBuilders’ programs reach so many children across Greater Houston.
Program Innovation
This year, ChildBuilders reached a significant milestone: the comprehensive update of our Stand Strong • Stay Safe Upper Elementary program. Guided by curriculum consultants and school counselors from across the Houston area, we gathered real-world feedback and refined our program content to reflect current best practices in child safety education.
