Handling Disclosures and Reporting
When children learn how to protect themselves from child abuse and other forms of victimizations, one of the important skills they practice is how to get help. This means it is not uncommon for educators teaching this material to witness an outcry. Whether the presenter is a trained mental health professional or a volunteer, it's their responsibility to report any outcries of abuse or neglect to Child Protective Services.
