Parenting is the hardest and most important job we’ll ever do – and it’s also the only one that comes with no training. We want to do our best but it’s tough when we don’t have all the tools we need.

In this short series, Stay Cool with Hot Tips for Positive Discipline, you can Zoom in to get some great strategies to make your parenting journey a bit easier. The focus: positive discipline techniques that are easy to understand and can be used immediately.

Here’s how it goes:

  • 4 free sessions,
  • 30 minutes each,
  • 12 – 12:30 p.m.,
  • Zoom.
Each session will deep dive into a positive discipline technique (or two), starting with a quick overview of the technique. Then we’ll see videos illustrating how (and maybe how not!) to use the technique, discuss strategies for using the technique with your child, and then wrap up. Kind of like a grab and go!

How do you feel when someone “gets you?” Most of us feel safe, secure, understood, and cared for. Our emotions dial down and we no longer need to yell or hurt others. In this session, we will explore strategies for using the Reflecting Feelings technique for soothing and managing our children’s feelings and behavior.
